None of my 20 shots turned out well today. So here is the least suckiest of the batch. The first is a car that has seen better days and the other comes from a gathering of 9 firetrucks for a fallen fire fighter's funeral.
According to Arnold, there are 700+ wildfires in Northern CA. I had clients staying home from therapy because their fragile immune systems can't handle the smoke.
(This picture is blurry because of the smoke in the air, not because of my camera.)
I was in San Leandro for a meeting today and snapped this shot as I drove through Oakland on the way home. This is the backside of the LDS Church Temple.
Wednesday night I was off from my second job and was able to finally make bread. From this one and one just as big I make 8 loaves (two not shown) and will make 4 more on Thursday night (maybe).
I got new shocks on my truck today. I've had bad shocks for 12 months and every time I stopped in traffic my truck would rock like I was on a boat. I'm back to having land legs. Go me.
Tonight after I got home from my two jobs, I turned on my computer to follow the MSNBC coverage of their deceased reporter. I'll be honest - I wasn't watching it because of some endearment to Tim Russert. I LOVE listening to Tom Brokaw report. In case you've never read it, might I suggest two books by Tom that I love and might I suggest you buy them on CD and listen to Tom read them to you.
After two weeks, the internet is still down. What I thought would be a simple task - my roommate is still struggling to get us back on line. On Wednesday night I'm going to drive down to Fremont and upload on my dad's internet. John promises me the internet will be up by July.
I took this picture from my truck to remind me to come back and take pictures here again some other day. Then, I didn't get to take pictures at all the rest of the day. I will probably revisit this some day because this is not the shot I intended.
I came home tonight to 4 cops with shotguns running down the street two streets over. Then on my street was 5 additional cop cars. Overhead was the county Sheriff's helicopter. Instead of going and photographing the men with guns (because I knew my father would kill me if I did), I opted to take pictures of the circling helicopter.
I hate doing sprinkler work for money. I always tell people to donate to my four favorite charities or to feed me. The house I'm working at now paid me in fresh strawberries, fresh cherries and fresh blueberries yesterday.
