For Fairfield Girls Camp this coming week, they are doing something that requires a castle painted on cardboard. On Wednesday night my Tech Director (from Oakland Temple Hill) asked me to come up and paint him a castle that he had sketched out. Tonight I returned and John and I painted the sky. John doesn't care very much for blending so I did all of the blending when it comes to the sky. I'm not totally happy with it, but it is what it is.

Tonight was a work night on Temple Hill. Harold was running SUPER late, so Stacy and I went to the grocery store to get some food. While we were there we saw this art gallery store. It was closed but inside was hanging this stain glass life size baby humpback whale. It was the weirdest funniest thing. Stacy was in stitches laughing so hard. Go here for a different angle. I'm trying to figure out where I would put this in my house if I ever had the money to buy it.

A Saint Bernard Rock Star

Yesterday, in between the morning session of conference and the afternoon session, the family went out and collected rocks so that tilling the soil would be easier. One rock gathered was this one that was first initially thought to look like a pig - but we have since decided it looks like a dog. I think it looks most like a Saint Bernard - but I'm open to discussion.

I finally had time today to take down the snowchild and put up something for spring/summer. On Monday I'll print off apples to be colored by clients (it is an "activity for daily living" skill they must master). I figure this can last until September where we'll put something like this up.

**Because the artistic design will be lost on my 5 year-old clients and on my 35 year-old co-workers, there was a purpose behind the way I did the tree. I felt that the snowchild was very 2-D and I wanted the tree to be more full, and pop out a little more, so I cut out various leaf clusters and put them on top of each other. I figured if I put up just a single sheet the tree wouldn't pop out as much. I'm still not happy with it but I have 6 months to get it right. (I'm also not happy with the clouds and I'll probably tweak them either in shape or in color.)

So today was a day full of missed opportunities:
Went to Power Soccer practice and didn't remember to take a picture.
Went to a wedding reception and forgot to take a picture
Met this amazingly beautiful girl tonight at the Luau and didn't get a chance to take her picture.
Got evicted from my apartment tonight and so set out to see what certain neighborhoods in Antioch, Rio Vista, Pittsburg and Oakley were like at night (because I value me sleep) but didn't take any pictures.

So today's pic is one I snapped quickly at a stoplight in Fremont. Sorry. I will try to do better in the future.
