Antioch, CA
This is Little Bear. He, unlike Lily, LB is mellow, slow moving and very appreciative of very little attention. He doesn't follow you around the house axiously waiting for you to take him on a W-A-L-K like some other dog we know.
The reason for the title is because of the type of dog she is. Every time I hear the name I think to myself that she's a Oompa Loompa.

San Jose Giants Shut out extras
To throw out the opening pitch, the police commisioner for San Jose flew in on a helicopter, landed just behind second base, threw the first pitch, got back in the helicopter and flew away. At least my niece stayed for the game after throwing out her first pitch.
This was a seeing eye dog that was seated with us at the game. So cute and friendly.
Base runner.
I would have gotten the picture's ball, but the base coach was in the way.
SJ Giants win.
After the game they let the kids in the stands run the bases.

Cheated
Dublin, CA
I went to dinner at Fudruckers tonight and as I was getting ready to order I saw this on the wall. So I ordered a soda and then found out they only carry Pepsi products. I felt way cheated. I don't really like Pepsi products. I'd rather drink water than Pepsi. I LOVE Coke and love drinking it with a burger and some fries. Shame on Fudruckers for screwing up my drinkage tonight.

Flower and that cute mutt
Antioch, CA
I saw this beautiful flower today on our walk. Not a clue what type it is and figuring my ecology expert is in TN for the next few (15!) months, I doubt we'll ever know.
I'd like to apologize for posting yet another picture of Lily, but this one was just too cute. As I was getting ready to hook up my camera to my computer, Lily came up and started sniffing it. The second picture resulted from her sniffing the camera.

Faithful Follower
Antioch, CA
You feed her a few times, pet her every day, and take her for walks every third day and suddenly you've got a really faithful follower. Every time I get up from my computer to go to my bedroom or go to the restroom, Lily gets up as well and follows me to my destination, waits and then follows me back. I wish dating was this easy.

In case you were confused
Pittsburg, CA
That thing you are walking toward, with handles and key locks on it...yeah that thing. It's a glass door. WARNING! It's a Glass Door. No telling what it may do to you. Usually it opens and then closes but you never know so be warned.
(Oh how I'm going to love being at a Junior College again. Everything is a teaching opportunity.)

Toss up Thursday
Antioch CA
I had a peach for breakfast.
I wish I could find a good place in the Antioch Hills that was unobstructed to take pictures of the sunsets better.

Good Bye Zucchini
Tonight we harvested the last of the Zucchini. All in all, we harvested 60 that were the size I wanted and 20 that were smaller. Something has gotten into the zucchini and started eating it so it had to be pulled. The children actually cheered when I told them we were pulling the zucchini. The 13 year old, who never wants to do any thing physical, offered to come out and help yank out (and I quote) "that stupid plant." Pictured above is two five gallon buckets that make up the very last we were able to gather. In case you were curious, the lighter green zucchini were from start plants bought here in Antioch. The darker zucchini came from seeds that were sent to me anonymously by a girl in Utah. I'll spend the next few days clawing the soil, cleaning it up and preparing it. Within two weeks we'll plant broccoli and cauliflower for the fall harvest.
