Business park scenery

Pleasant Hill, CA

I had an all day Employee Training meeting today that would have been a total waste if it wasn't for Alice and Claudia keeping me awake and for all of these beautiful water ways surrounding the facilities.

(BTW - Melinda, there are pine trees, weeping willows, grass and moss in this picture. Because i know you'll ask)

  4. Gu: I think Melinda has just decided those are Daffodils. I don't have a clue, but then again, I didn't take a Botany Class in college.

MN: Yes - there is a bush there, but there Bushes have been such a pain in my side that I just didn't think to point it out. (-:

  5. Marisa: That was the same feel I got except there was no cute bridges or little 2 foot concrete temples. There was a sign that said "Please don't feed the ducks. It is detrimental to their health." The sign was right next to an outdoor ashtray.

  6. lol- maybe they dont' want the ducks to go through withdrawls? u should go back and take a picture of the daffodils when they bloom, kay?

  7. MN: When do they bloom? I'm available March 22 or 29 to go back and take pics. This Saturday is a train ride photo shoot. The week after that is CPR training. The weekend after that is BORP.

So the fourth or fifth weekend would be perfect for taking pictures of anti duck feeding signs and of flowering plants. Do you think that is enough time?

  10. after closer looking, i dont think they are daffodils. but if they are, they bloom in april. but thats in frozen utah, who is just bearly warming up. i dont know when they would grow in CA. you guys have a longer growing season, so they might bloom earlier.

  11. they be iris' and since you live in zone 9, its very likely that your blooming season is over (it was in early february), and that they wont bloom again this year, for most of the types of iris. one type blooms really late, so you might have a chance at catching them.
