You know, all my life I've been wondering why they think they need to roll a fire engine when they know it is a medical emergency, and not a fire.
I guess it was necessary in the old days before paramedics were stationed at the firehouses -- they used to carry oxygen, first aid supplies, and the defibulator on the fire engine -- but I think that these days the "meat wagon" usually beats the fire engine to the scene anyway, so I just don't see the need of rolling such a big piece of equipment (but what do I know?)
Anyway, I'm glad I got that off my chest... I'm probably totally wrong (about something I know absoutely nothing about) as usual...

And I hope your neighbor is o.k...
That's a rad pic. My dad was a volunteer firefighter back when I was little, and I used to love seeing the fire trucks up close.
ReplyDeleteHope your neighbor is okay.
