In the universe somewhere (picture taken in Antioch, CA)
Evidently yesterday was some big lunar event. I wouldn't know. KNJ & I spend almost all of the 2 years we spent dating having very different opinions on which was more important: Space Exploration or Oceanography Exploration. I really truly believe that the cure for every disease on earth is on earth. If we cut NASA's budget by a third and put that money instead into the search of the ocean I think we could bless more people.
But either way, here is a picture of the moon for you.

I'm totally on board with that. Kinda seems strange to me that we've been to the moon so many times, yet there are VAST reaches of ocean that no human has ever seen. You're probably right: some of those funky deep-sea bioluminescent fish probably have the cure for diabetes or Alzheimers or whatever as a chemical they secrete in usable quantities. Oceanography wins (or at least it should). Plus there's not the problem of time/distance like there is in space travel. The deepest place on the ocean floor is like 6 miles down; the moon is like 300,000 miles away from the earth. (correction: Googled it, and the average distance (it changes due to elliptical orbits) is 238,856 miles. Or 6 miles. Which one makes more sense?
ReplyDeleteGood call Sean.
