The top pictures are of the cars. The bottom picture is to help you realize where the pine wood derby race has gone. At top is a computer actuated lever to release the cars. In the floor at the bottom is a sensors that tell you which car arrives first. Then a computer voice announces lane winners and time. And if that wasn't enough, I was the only one at the end without an SLR. There were at least 4 SLRs ready to dispute the computer with a photo finish.
